Team Captains Kent Magnusson and Pamela Constant met on Sunday yesterday at 4.30pm at this year's sensational V' Club venue to announce their teams for the 2006 Riders Cup. Also present were their Vice Captains, Christer Nordström and Julie Peacock.

This much awaited event will take place this Tuesday, 12th September - when golf aficionados all over France and indeed the world, will be glued to their TV sets! After seeing the draw, the world's golf press are predicting a close match this year, and anything can happen.

We have one or two Rookies on our team - but judging by our performances in 'V' club tour events this year, with many of our players running into form, we'll give the Swedes a run for their money. After all, we have age and experience on our side plus the advantage of playing on our home course.

Please bring 'wags'/husbands/partners/toy-boys along for support - everyone welcome!

Team members are asked to meet at 8.30am on Tuesday for a 9.00 tee-off. The format will be match-play - 4 singles, and 5 doubles playing from red and yellow tees.
