AGM March 26, 2004

This year's Annual General Meeting took place Friday, March 26th, 2004 at 19h30 at the Standard Athletic Club.  

The highlight of the meeting, apart from the usual business, was discussion of the appropriate disposition of the Section's vast reserves of Champagne. The following members of the outgoing committee stood for re-election and free drinks and were consequently re-elected unanimously:

• Pam Constant (Chair)

• Malcolm Forrest

• Sue Hall

• Claude Jacques

• Nigel Law

• James Moore

• Maurice McCullough

Simon Murphy was voted in to take the place of the retiring (?) Peter Engelen - who has been loyally serving the committee for almost as long as anyone can remember. Thank you, Peter.

The AGM and Prize-giving was followed by what was unanimously agreed to be the most wondrous* repast ever to have been served at the Club (22 € per person). A special thanks to Celia for expressing in words what everyone was thinking. Thanks also to President Pam for contributing a bottle of wine.

* The term wondrous is used advisedly
